How long does it take to complete an on-line assessment?
It takes most people about 10 minutes to complete an assessment. Of course, depending on your behavioral style, it might take you more or less time.
When/How will I receive my report?
Once you have completed the questions, your report will be automatically emailed to you in a PDF file. How long it takes to get to you depends on the speed of your Internet connection.
What should I do if I completed a report but never received it by email?
Please call us at 1-888-347-2949 ext. 1001. There are times reports get routed to SPAM folders, or can’t get past firewalls. We can retrieve it from the database
How much does it cost?
It depends. There are many versions of the DISC assessment and many ways to purchase. Please so we can get a better sense of what you’re looking for.
What will the DISC assessment tell me?
DISC measures observable behavior and emotions. It will tell you HOW you take action, communicate, and behave in most circumstances. DISC will not measure your intelligence, values, education, etc.
Is the DISC assessment accurate?
Validity studies show the accuracy of the DISC Assessments. I have been using the assessments for over 11 years and I can tell you most people find their report to be 90-95% accurate. Although the report claims to be only 85% accurate - because human beings are complex creatures that cannot be encapsulated by one report – most people find their reports scarily accurate!
How will DISC assessments benefit my organization?
Most organizations are looking for results. Results come from the right
people taking the right actions. Behavioral analysis helps you identify
the right people.
In any situation or environment where understanding people better would be beneficial, DISC can help. Specifically, our clients use it for:
- Hiring the right people
- Performance Development
- Team Building
- Conflict Resolution
- Career Planning/Succession
- Coaching
Can DISC be used for hiring?
Absolutely! Some instructors of DISC tell you it can’t be used in hiring because it isn’t predictive in nature. We have a different philosophy. In our experience, you can predict how a certain style will behave in everyday, normal environments. That is why our clients tell us it’s like having a crystal ball. (Of course, human beings are complex and can surprise you – especially in unusual circumstances.)
The Department of Labor indicates that pre-employment assessments should be 1/3 or less of the hiring decision, and we completely agree with that. However, our assessments show a side to the applicant that cannot be determined through interviews, resumes, background checks, etc.
We would not claim our assessments guarantee success of an applicant, however, we can ensure clients are making the most informed decisions about their new hires.
Is there one style that is better than the others?
Yes. My style. Just kidding! No one set of behavioral types is superior to the others. They all have value and they all produce results in their own way. Success comes from people being in the right environment/job for their style.
Is DISC a psychological tool?
No. DISC only measures observable behavior and emotions. It cannot tell us if someone is emotionally or psychologically healthy or unhealthy. That being said, with a DISC Assessment, the disparity between the Natural and Adapted graphs have been shown to indicate the amount of stress a person may be feeling. How that person deals with stress though is as unique as the person’s behavioral style. Some people deal with stress well and for others it’s debilitating.
How can DISC assessments be used other than for hiring?
In any situation or environment where understanding people better would be beneficial, DISC can help. We have clients applying DISC in:
- Performance Development
- Team Building
- Conflict Resolution
- Career Planning/Succession
- Coaching

Do I have to be certified to use DISC in my organization?
No, you do not have to be certified. However, in order for us to insure the integrity of the tool and its proper usage, we will require that someone who is qualified interpret and apply the information for you. We will not allow assessments to be processed on people with no guarantee of accurate interpretation.
That is why we created The DISC Wizard Certification process. This way, you aren’t dependent on our interpretation and can bring the expertise into your organization.
What are the advantages to getting certified?
There are many to you as an individual – and also to your organization.
- Increase your value to your organization by becoming a behavioral expert.
- Add a new competency to your resume and earn the credential of Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA).
- The online DISC behavioral assessment reveals more information about a person than you could learn about them in six months on the job.
- DISC Assessments are applicable for hiring, team building, conflict resolution, career planning, etc.
- Once certified, all DISC Assessments and products are 25% off the retail price.
- You eliminate the need for outside consultants and trainers, saving even more money.
How much time will it take to become certified?
The full program takes place over a month’s timeframe. There are two training sessions which go from 9a-5p. Then you should be prepared to complete 5-10 Assessment Debriefings. These usually take 1 to 1.5 hours each. Lastly, there is the 3-hour, online certification exam.
To sum up:
16 hours of instruction
5 to 15 hours of practical application
3-hour exam
Why choose the DISC Wizard Certification?
We designed the DWC program specifically because of what we thought was missing in other programs. We have designed the program so that you have time after the training to conduct one-on-one debriefing meetings with family, friends, or associates whom you’ve assessed. This real-life experience is invaluable.
During the month, we are available by phone and email to answer any questions you have. And when we come back together at the end of the month, we will all learn from each other’s experiences.
